Dear All,
We are pleased to announce that Amalya Cafe located at 621 Glenhuntly Rd, Caulfield ph 9523 8206 will open on 11/2/10 under the supervision of Kosher Australia specialising in sushi, sandwiches and fresh brewed coffee. Your hosts are Yifat and Yehoshua. Cholov Yisroel and Pas Yisroel.
Some Eskal herring and sugar-free chocolate are being sold at retailers without a hechsher and are therefore not recommended. Consumers are encouraged to check that all Eskal products carry a recommended hechsher before purchasing them.
Greenseas chunky tuna in brine (180g can) does not bear the OU symbol and is therefore not recommended. Large cans still carry the OU. We are awaiting clarification from the OU and Heinz.
âNâ brand Natural course sea salt carries a milchig Capetown Beth Din symbol. This product is actually pareve and the Capetown Beth Din are working with the company to correct the error.
Golden Circle Apple Raspberry Crush Cordial is now Kosher certified pareve.
Kosherfest Australia (www.kosherfestaustralia.com) will be held this weekend at St Kilda Town Hall and we encourage people to attend to demonstrate the strength of the Kosher market in Melbourne and to sample new Kosher products. (Note that Kosher Australia is merely providing the supervision on the exhibits.)
